What it's like to be told you're terminally ill.

On being told "it's pretty far along", and the feelings and the thoughts and planning and all the crap that now I have to do. Come along with me if you want. It should be an interesting ride.

I'm looking at everything as if I'm seeing it for the last time, which may well be true, and it gives me such appreciation for things I've taken for granted all my life. But looking at things for the last time allows me to see a lot of them for the first time, if that makes any sense.

This shot I love with the leaves changing color. The trees are at their peek this week. I drove through the backroads to enjoy the view. Ponds and streams with reflections in them, leaves floating along in the streams. The farmers were busy in the fields and it was nice to watch with the backdrop of the hills and mountains so alive with color.
I’m was in awe of it all. Took a few pics when I got home but my digital can only capture so much.

I know where this is and it’s the most spiritual place I’ve ever seen.  If Julie Andrews could still sing she go there and re-make The Sound of Music.

// d it's the most spiritual piece of property I can even imagine.  If Julie Andrews she'd come over and sing The Sound Of Music.]]]]>]]>
